Excursions through the gentle ups and downs of the carsistic land, the variegated succession of vineyards and oak forests, and the characteristic white color of the trulli cottages make this fairy-tale valley a destination not to be missed in Puglia. In the nearby center of Castellana Grotte are some beautiful royal palazzos from the 17th century and Renaissance of the Baroque Mother church.
